STOCK X: REDEFINING SNEAKER SHOPPING
What is STOCKX?
StockX is an online marketplace and app where users can buy and sell sneakers, streetwear, electronics, and collectibles using real-time market pricing similar to a stock market. It shows live bids, asks, and sales to make pricing transparent for both buyers and sellers.
OVERVIEW
StockX is an e-commerce app for buying and selling sneakers, streetwear, and collectibles. While popular, its original design felt cluttered and didn’t capture the energy of sneaker culture.
I redesigned the app to create a smoother, more engaging user flow. Starting with wireframes, I mapped out the buying journey and simplified navigation. By adding bold visuals, clear layouts, and interactive buttons, the new design makes browsing and purchasing sneakers easier, faster, and more enjoyable.
THE GOAL
Improve Navigation: Simplify the user flow so shoppers can easily browse, compare, and purchase sneakers without confusion.
Enhance Visual Appeal: Use bold imagery and clean layouts to reflect sneaker culture and keep users engaged.
Boost Interactivity: Add intuitive buttons and smooth transitions to create a more dynamic and enjoyable shopping experience.
Solution.
I independently redesigned and prototyped key screens, focusing on cleaner layouts, clearer pricing information, and a more intuitive buy or bid flow, without using user testing or formal research.
The redesign concept delivers a simplified and more user-friendly experience, improving clarity, navigation, and trust while making the buying process feel faster and easier.
WIREFRAME
Wireframes were used to map out the app’s structure and user flow before designing the visuals. They helped identify key pain points, organize content, and plan each interaction step by step. This process made it easier to build a clean, intuitive UI that felt modern, engaging, and aligned with StockX’s youthful style.
PRODUCT DESIGN
The UI design focused on capturing StockX’s young, trendy vibe while keeping the experience simple and intuitive. Bold visuals, modern typography, and smooth interactions made the app feel fresh and energetic, reflecting sneaker culture while staying easy to use.
How it works
This video gives a quick, exciting look at how the redesigned StockX app works and brings its features to life. The prototype was created to demonstrate how each screen and interaction functions in real time.
